Now more than eight years at the vanguard of the ambient pop movement, Hooverphonic recently wrapped up one leg of an extensive European tour - and also has voiced their support for the Songs For Choice compilation by including information and links about the project on the Official Hooverphonic MySpace. 01.08.07: 'Songs For Choice' Artist Amanda Ghost Nominated for GRAMMY Award
Singer/songwriter Amanda Ghost - who appears on the dPulse benefit compilation Songs For Choice with the track 'Blood On The Line' - has been nominated for a GRAMMY Award in the 'Song of The Year' category for 'You're Beautiful' (James Blunt). The 49th Annual Grammy Awards presentation will be held 02.11.07 at Staples Center in Los Angeles and broadcast live on CBS, beginning at 8pm.
With the nomination of 'You're Beautiful' for 'Song of the Year' and the wide critical acclaim for 'Blood On The Line' (which the legendary Joni Mitchell tagged as 'the best song of the decade', Amanda Ghost is becoming a force in serious popular music. Her latest release is 'Time Machine', a new single wth Boy George, recently released on Plan A Records.

12.06.06 : Single 'Naughty' from dPulse / Sundown Artist J-Punch (of 3kStatic) On New AIDS Awareness Benefit
WASHINGTON, DC - "Naughty" - the recently-released Sundown Recordings debut single from rapidly emerging electronica artist J-Punch will also be released on 'The Underground Sound of DC', a benefit compilation releasing this month on DC-based indie label Tone13 Recordings.
Conceived to bring awareness to the serious HIV/AIDS crisis in the nation's capital, 'The Underground Sound of DC' features tracks from luminaries such as Thievery Corporation (with their rock-solid remix of David Byrne's "The Heart's a Lonely Hunter"), Kid Gusto, Fort Knox Five and many more.
All proceeds from the sale of 'The Underground Sound of DC' will directly benefit the Whitman-Walker Clinic, a non-profit, community-based health organization serving the gay and lesbian community in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
With a string of releases on a virtual 'Who's Who' of leading dance music labels - including Global Underground, CP, System Recordings and many more, Washington, DC-based J-Punch is widely hailed as one of the leading emerging talents on the US dance music scene. J-Punch is also a member of the lauded socially-aware progressive/electronic project 3kStatic, which recently notched the first iTunes #1 Dance album in the band's 8-year history.
